Airlume cotton, and you can feel it

The fabric is 4.2 oz 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton spun to a fine 32-singles yarn. Airlume is combed twice as thoroughly as standard cotton, which pulls out the short fibers and impurities most jersey leaves behind. The result is a lighter, smoother, noticeably softer shirt with a cleaner surface, so prints land crisp instead of fuzzy. Solid colors are 100% cotton; Ash is a 99/1 cotton-polyester blend.

Finished like retail

Side seams keep the shape through the waist rather than letting it balloon out like a tubular tee. The crew neck collar and sleeves are cover-stitched so they stay flat and hold their shape, twill tape runs shoulder to shoulder to keep the shirt from stretching out of square, and the label is a tear-away you can remove in seconds.

Comfort Colors 1717 Garment-Dyed Heavyweight Tee

The opposite approach, and just as good at it. This one is heavy, relaxed, and built on a tubular body with no side seams, so it hangs loose and easy through the middle. Sizes run S through 4XL.

Heavyweight US cotton

The fabric is a substantial 6.1 oz 100% US-grown ring-spun cotton knit at 30 singles, sewn with 100% cotton threads throughout. You feel the weight the moment you pick it up: thick enough to hang with real structure, fully opaque, and plush rather than stiff. It is the kind of shirt that gets better every time you wash it instead of thinner.

Garment-dyed, barely shrinks

Each shirt is dyed after it is sewn rather than before, which is where that soft, lived-in hand and slightly faded color come from. It also means the shirt is pre-shrunk during the dye and wash process, so you get almost no shrinkage at home. The pigment-dyed shades keep their vintage look for the life of the garment, while reactive-dyed colors like Black and White give a clean, even, traditional finish with the same softness.

Built to hold up

A 7/8" double-needle topstitched rib collar keeps its shape instead of going wavy. Twill tape runs shoulder to shoulder across the neck for durability, the sleeves are set in, and the armholes, sleeve hems, and bottom hem are all double-needle stitched. The signature twill label finishes it off.

The cotton is US-grown through the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, and the fabric is finished with OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes. The clean pigment dyes are salt free.
